Alex will discuss the article "The Fundamental Law of Road Congestion: Evidence from US cities". Background: This off-schedule installment of the CTS-IGERT weekly journal presentation series intends to appeal to your senses as transportationists. This is a term David Levinson has used to describe those interested in understanding the transportation system holistically; not as transportation geographers, transportation engineers,transportation planners, transportation economists, or transportation policy planners, but rather as interdisciplinary transportationists. We will look at an article from the most recent issue of the American Economic Review (October 2011) entitled, "The Fundamental Law of Road Congestion: Evidence from U.S. Cities" |
