2008 CTS IGERT Orientation & Retreat

All IGERT fellows, associates and faculty should plan to attend this event.

The orientation will be a two-hour session on campus, including group introductions and presentations by Professors Wolfson and Sloan. Light snacks will be provided.

From there we will take taxis over to board a 90 minute architecture cruise on the Chicgao River and Lake Michigan. Boxed meals will be provided to all those participating in the cruise. there will also be complimentary soft drinks, sweets and a cash bar on board.

Agenda:
3:00 - 5:00 pm | orientation, room 1000 SEO
5:00 pm | meals distributed; taxis to North Pier docks*
5:30 pm | group should be ready at North Pier docks
6:00 - 7:30 pm | Architecture Cruise on Chicago River and Lake Michigan**

*Transportation between UIC and North Pier docks will be via pre-arranged taxis. Passengers will be reimbursed for this expense. It is recommended that one person in each taxi pay the fare to simplify the reimbursement process as much as possible. Laura can assist with the reimbursement paperwork.

**Tranportation home/back to UIC/etc. from the North Pier docks is on your own.
